Kristin has dedicated over 30 years to aviation, combining her passion for flying with a commitment to mentorship, leadership, and advocacy. Born in Montreal and raised in Oakville, she earned her BSc in Geography from the University of British Columbia and her Commercial Pilot Diploma at Coastal Pacific and the University of the Fraser Valley while working as a flight attendant at Air Canada. Kristin began her flying career in Winnipeg with Perimeter Airlines before joining WestJet, where she has been a 737 Captain for 21 years.

Beyond the flight deck, Kristin serves as a Standards Pilot and a facilitator for WestJet’s Captain Command Course, where she helps develop leadership skills in new captains. She also volunteers on WestJet’s ALPA Professional Standards Committee, fostering a culture of professionalism and respect.

Kristin is an Honorary Colonel with the Royal Canadian Air Force and Chair of the RCAF Foundation. She was the founding President of Northern Spirit, Winnipeg’s Women in Aviation Chapter, and is co-chair of the Girls in Aviation Day program in Winnipeg. Kristin is also a proud mom to two teenage boys and is passionate about inspiring the next generation of aviation professionals.

Née à Montréal et ayant grandi à Oakville, elle a obtenu un baccalauréat en géographie de l’Université de la Colombie-Britannique, ainsi qu’un diplôme de pilote professionnel au Coastal Pacific et à l’Université de la Fraser Valley, tout en travaillant comme agente de bord chez Air Canada. Kristin a débuté sa carrière de pilote à Winnipeg chez Perimeter Airlines avant de se joindre à WestJet, où elle est commandante de bord sur 737 depuis maintenant 21 ans.

Au-delà du poste de pilotage, Kristin agit à titre de pilote des normes et de facilitatrice pour le cours Captain Commandde WestJet, où elle contribue au développement des compétences en leadership des nouveaux capitaines. Elle est également bénévole au sein du comité des normes professionnelles de l’ALPA chez WestJet, favorisant une culture de professionnalisme et de respect.

Kristin est colonelle honoraire dans l’Aviation royale canadienne et présidente de la Fondation de l’ARC. Elle a été la présidente fondatrice de Northern Spirit, la section de Women in Aviation à Winnipeg, et est coprésidente du programme Girls in Aviation Day dans cette même ville. Maman fière de deux adolescents, Kristin est passionnée par l’idée d’inspirer la prochaine génération de professionnels de l’aviation.
